House Warming vs House Worming

According to Wikipedia, the term "housewarming" is descended literally from the act of warming a new house, in the days before central heating. Each guest would bring firewood, and build fires in all the available fireplaces, offering firewood as a gift.

The term House Warming or House-Warming is as cozy as kids in a blanket house:


While firewood is still a great housewarming present, it's just not as fun as bottle of wine.  It's pretty hard to trump a good bottle of wine as the perfect housewarming gift.

The phrase House Worming sounds almost the same as House Warming, it's just off by 1 vowel.  Nobody has ever defined House Worming.  It could mean to get rid of all of the worms in a house.  That could make for a fun House Worming Party

In conclusion House Warming involves making new home cozier and House Worming has no real definition but most likely involves something unpleasant.  As usual, we're sorry if we wasted your time by reading this blog
